I am 19 yrs old n just finishing my NVQ level 3 coursework for my exam but i was originally cibtac trained so i don't have any diploma's as of yet apart from seperate ones per treatment.
I am really struggling to find work at the moment in the sector but i was offered to rent a room from a hair salon that is fully equipped and they take 25% of profit. I have product, public and treatment liabilty insuarance and am really keen to be self employed. I am however a bit worried for many reasons, i don't have a client base as of yet bar a few people and i haven't had much practice on alot of the treatments for about 5 months. I guess i am slightly nervous about setting up incase i make a mistake thought i never have ( i have to admit i am not very good at manicures! which doesn't help my confidence). and furthermore i don't know alot about setting up a business or getting a client base. I need some advice from people who know the beauty side and not just the business side. Could anybody shed some light for me?? It would be massively appreciated!
