Hi everyone, my name is Ashley and i'm 24 years old.

Im currently working in an office as an Administrator, which I hate with a passion! However due to a bad experience at a local college (I have now transferred to another to do my level 2) I just feel a little less enthusiastic about the Industry than when I first started! Which is a shame as I had my whole career path mapped out with what I would like to do!

I would just like to know what made you choose beauty and what the best part of your job is?

Many Thanks
Ashley x

Hi Ashley,

I too came from an office background and the thing I like best is the varied days you have - no two are alike. You also get to meet lots of new people and if you are interested it is a career you can travel with. The college I trained at also had some bad points however if you are serious about it, just focus on your end goal and don't let anyone or anything pull you away from it.

Here at Camp Eden Health Resort away from the pressures of daily life you can truly enjoy the relaxation and pampering that is an added bonus of our face and body skin care treatments.
At Camp Eden Health Resort we put a great deal of emphasis on ‘being comfortable within our own skin’, but it is also important to feel good about the ‘skin we are in’.

Hiya,
I'm like you Alexa, I went to college to do my level 2, had a really tough time there, didn't get on with the teachers at all, and it's really put me off working in a salon now.

I'd rather go back to working in an office in an admin position, and start up a little business of my own in my spare time.

Hi

I am also doing a similar thing. I came from am office background but have found there are not the beauty job opportunities in my area at the moment and the wages in the Beauty Industry are a lower.

I am about to start a new office admin job and will start up my own business alongside and build up my client list.

Hopefully in the future I can work solely for myself. It seems to me that working for yourself is the best way to make money in Beauty, although I expect it to be hard work.

I have thought about going mobile but the problem is I have a lot of friends that seem to expect it for free!
