Newly qualified- when and how did you get your first job?

hi I have just qualified in level 2 beauty therapy and starting my level 3 in september. In the meantime I would like to work in a salon but I am a bit worried whether I will find something. How long after you qualified did you find your first job and what was it like?
I would appriciate any replies.
