pls help

hey! i left college in 2005 with nv2 and units of nvq3 in beauty therapy. when i left i looked for work in salons straight away but ***ody wanted to know due to a lack of experience, so i ended up doing something i do not enjoy.3 years later i still really want to be a beauty therapist, does anybody have any advice?

Hey! im returning after 4 years. I only did lvl2 and im just going on to lvl3 this week.The way im having to do it is work experience in a salon 1 day week along side college, but at least ill have 1 year experience in the salon by the time i finish, and plus they may even decide to keep you on! good luck and dont give up

I agree with kezharriman@hotmail.co.uk - great reply, sadly Beauty Therapy or therapy in general is very hard to get into, but once in your reputation builds and every one gets to know you and its easier to move around.

If your single try a healthspa for a couple of years there are loads around, its fantastic experience and once youve done that youll get a job anywhere as employers know that you can work as part of a large team, work to targets, long hours etc etc. Thats how I got into the industry and havent looked back since that was 17 years ago...
