I moved to South London/Kent area six weeks ago to live with my sister until i get my own place to start a new life and build up my career in Beauty Therapy.
I qualified in July this year in my level 3 and i am finding it impossible to get a job up here as every job adveritsed requires like 2 years or more experience its driving me mad!How are you meant to gain experience if no'one will give you a chance!?
Atm i am working in a retail store in central london the pay isnt great and my travel is costing me an outrageous amount for a job that isnt considered my career path and im really getting stressed about it all so just wondered if anyone has any tips or advice for me before i consider moving back lol!
Thanks :)

may be a complete long shot however i got my first beauty job from hilton hotels and they advertised in the college as quite a few companies do like newbies as they havent picked up bad habits or cut corners so they can guide them a bit might be worth contacting your old college and see if any companies have contacted them.
only problem with doing a make up uni course is that your be in the exact same position about experience i specialise in make up and it was so hard to get into it was crazy i spent years waiting for my break :( keep at. Just send your cv to any salon/spa you know least then they can keep it on there database
hope this helps xxx
