Beauty Goodies for Christmas

The best thing about beauty gifts is that they come in all shapes and sizes and you really can spend as little or as much as you'd like, from little stocking fillers to splash out gifts. Most product houses offer gift sets this time of year as well with some huge savings on luxury products.

Secret Santa

Secret Santa can be tricky because you may not know the person that you're buying for very well. The budget is more often than not quite low for secret Santas but this needn't be a problem. Mini products are great because even if it's something the person doesn't normally use it's a great way for them to try things. New make up and nail colours are always really fun for this time of year with people are going out and glamming up more for Christmas and New Year’s parties.

What I'm wishing for

Mascara is a staple for most women; this year I'm lusting after Lily Lolo’s natural black mascara. This award winning mascara adds volume and length perfectly to define lashes without clumps or smudges. £10.99

I always curl my lashes before applying mascara to open up the eyes; my fave are the body shop eyelash curlers. If you haven't tried lash curlers before you must put these on your list and see the difference it makes! And don’t be scared of using them, they just need a little practise to get used to. £5

For Men

Most men now have some kind of grooming routine, whether it's quite basic or on the verge of rivaling their wife’s or girlfriend’s!

The beard is back in a big way and beard grooming is so popular that you'll be spolit for choice when it comes to choosing a product.

Beard balms condition and nourish leaving the beard soft and easy to tame. Creampot Tom's beard balm by the Brighton beard company is a handmade balm with mandarin, cedar wood and juniper. £11.95

For guys who are more concerned with the hair on top of their heads, hair products are a great choice. Muk clays and pastes come in a variety of options for different holds but each have a gorgeous scent to keep hair smelling just as good as it looks. The Muk mini triple gift pack is £15.

And for those who prefer a cleaner cut look Ted Baker’s grooming room shave gel, £8, is infused with menthol and aloe vera for smooth, non-irritated skin, plus the vintage style bottle will look great on the bathroom shelf.

What I'm wishing for:

St Tropez luxe body oil £25. You only have to look at this bottle to want it - frosted glass with a gold top filled with shimmering golden liquid. The silky oil is easy to apply, leaves a beautiful shimmer on the skin and has a fresh scent of lemon grass and grapefruit essential oils rather than the dreaded self tan smell! Leave on the skin for 4-8 hours for an even golden glow that will last up to 7 days.

Gift vouchers

Men love pampering just as much as women; some of them just dont know it yet! A little push of encouragement may be needed to get them there but once they get over the fear of going into this unknown world they will absolutely love it. A gift voucher for a facial, massage or pedicure at your local salon is a fantastic present. You could even have a treatment too so they don't have to go on their own! A little warning though, once they have experienced their first treatment they will be hooked.

Luxe products

There is something really special about the feeling you get from using a luxury beauty product. Whether you’re a beauty addict or only splash out once in a while, an indulgent new product can make you feel like a million dollars. This is exactly what you need this time of year either for some pampering at home or to get ready for that all important party.
