EF MEDISPA’s Top Aesthetic Trends for 2016
Aesthetic industries are growing rapidly each year. This is down to the increasing social acceptance, affordability and availability of many treatments that are readily available to us.
EF MEDISPA has conducted a survey and have found the most popular treatment trends and aesthetic concerns for both men and women with interesting results.
The survey indicates customers main skin concerns are about having fine lines and wrinkles, skin pigmentation problems, losing the skins elasticity and having dehydrated skin.
Women’s most popular non-surgical treatments in the last year have been laser hair removal, skin tightening, facials and cellulite treatments. This may be because women’s top aesthetic concerns have been about having broken capillaries on the face, having a dull skin complexion, having stubborn fat on the belly and cellulite.
But it’s not just women who are seeking changes. According to the survey, men’s cosmetic treatments have increased by a whopping 36.5% in the last year.
Currently, the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedures for men at the clinics are injectables, skin rejuvenation and tightening, laser hair removal and surgical fat reduction. With men’s main body concerns being about having broken capillaries on the face, having a hair back, having stubborn fat on their breast area and on their bellies.
According to EF MEDISPA, the top three treatment enquiries in 2014-2015 have been IV vitamin therapy, cellulite treatment and hair removal.
EF MEDIASPA’s top four surgical procedures in 2015 in both men and women are Vaser liposuction, where ultrasound energy targets fat cells. Vaser HD, similar to Vaser liposuction, but it can be used to sculpt around muscles giving an athletic look thread lift and fat transfer. A Thread lift, which is where sagging areas of the face are lifted by threading barbed sutures into your skin with non-absorbable threads. And the fourth procedure being fat transfer, where fat is taken from one part of the body and transferred to another.
It’s not all about treatments. The survey also shows the most popular skincare products that have been sold throughout the year.
The top facial products have been serums, cleansers, moisturisers and target creams. While the top body products have been cellulite cream, body scrub, moisturisers and exfoliators.
Whatever you do to your skin, make sure you look after it. If you choose to have any procedure, make sure you research thoroughly and book in a consultation before committing to any treatment.
