Q. What were you doing before you joined NYCN?
Working for Lena White Ltd O.P.I as sales education manager
Q. Why did you choose to work for NYCN?
I wanted to work with NYCN because it was an exciting new challenge in a fast growing company, that offers excellent opportunities.
Q. What does your job involve doing?
My job involves visiting NYCN's bars in Scotland and the North East of England, recruitment, training and ensuring the nail bars are running corporately.
Q. What do you love about the nails industry?
I love creativity and skill to give clients perfect results every time.
Q. What frustrates you about the nails industry?
What frustrates me about the nail industry is technicians who don't understand the ethics of sanitation!!
Q. What qualities are necessary in a good nail technician?
Confidence, skill, good knowledge of the nail industry and of course good product knowledge
Q. What would you advise anyone to do that's seeking a career in nails?
I would advise them to go to a reputable company that offers the best training such as O.P.I
Q. What are the biggest challenges you face in your job?
Training new employees on product knowledge and conversions
Q. What has been your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement has been working my way to a higher level in the industry
Q. What career opportunities does NYCN provide?
NYCN provides positions from manicurists/nail tech to management level and also the opportunity to own one of our franchises, particularly in a Debenhams store - where else could you receive an opportunity like that? I do feel that NYCN have fantastic opportunities.
Q. What have you personally learned by working at NYCN?
I have learned new skills in management and in training that have helped to drive NYCN forward.
Q. What are your aspirations for the future?
My aspirations for the future would be to help NYCN to grow into the UK and Ireland's leading nail brand.
