Why spend £22 on a foundation when you can spend £10? Pinterest has provided us with endless lists of cheaper alternatives to luxurious products, and most are heavily repeated and very popular. This article is going to cover some new and underrated dupes that we’ve found, these products are almost identical to their expensive twin in terms of shades and packaging; but most importantly, an element often overlooked with dupes is the formula. These seven dupes are guaranteed to work just as well if not better than their infamous luxurious counterparts.

Let’s start with the most controversial. When Kylie Jenner released her new eyeshadow range, she was instantly bombarded with how similar it was to YouTuber ShaaanXo’s collaboration with BH Cosmetics. The palettes were seen to be almost identical in terms of everything, from the shade options to the packaging itself. This earnt so much heated discussion that the celebrities themselves had to comment on it. Although at first some of the shades are visibly different, the majority are identical. From the two lighter shades to the orange and red, and finishing off with the black in the corner. But what’s most noticeably identical about these is the formula. Both of these have a seriously creamy and smooth formula, as well as being very intensely pigmented. The world has agreed, the Shaanxo is a perfect dupe for the Kyshadow palette for less than half of the price!

Maybelline’s Dream Touch Lumi Concealer £6.99 vs YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch Concealer

Instantly with the packaging we can see the similarities between the two. While the Maybelline concealer may not be luxuriously covered in gold, it holds the same click applicator. This YSL concealer is a holy grail product for makeup artists, but at a fraction of the price this Maybelline concealer is comparable in every way. The Maybelline concealer works the same way to cover dark circles and blemishes while still being lightweight and illuminating. The formula is almost identical in these two, in fact the Maybelline actually packs a lot more coverage. The only difference between the two is the shade range; while YSL provides a whopping 12 different shades, Maybelline falls short with only 6 different shade options.

Maybelline’s Lash Sensational £7.99 vs Benefit’s Roller Lash £19.50

Now, the first thing you may notice is the difference in size of the brush- do not be discouraged. While this Maybelline Lash Sensational’s brush is slightly wider and shorter than the Benefit Roller Lash, both brushes have the same curve and the same formula that gives you identical results! Benefit’s Roller Lash is very hyped up for the gorgeous curl it can give your lashes, and the Maybelline Lash Sensational can give it just as well and actually holds it for even longer. The formula is almost identical in terms of blackness and thickness, but most importantly they give you the exact same results!

Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner in East End Snob £3.99 vs Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk £16

Now, this is solely a shade-based dupe. Charlotte Tilbury has taken the beauty community by storm with almost every product in her range, but one of the most sought after products has been her Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk. This shade has been deemed the ultimate perfect nude pink, as well as being the ideal lip liner to overdraw your lips with. Rimmel’s Exaggerate Lip liner in East End Snob is an absolute identical colour, the proof is in the fact that it is always sold out! The wind-up packaging actually makes it more preferable than the Lip Cheat! If the shade similarity weren’t enough, the formula is also identical!

LÓreal Infallible 24H Foundation £9.99 vs Mac Studio Fix Fluid £22

If you haven’t heard of Mac’s Studio Fix Fluid, where have you been?! This is possibly the oldest foundation in the game. The Studio Fix Fluid has been around since the beginning of time in the beauty community, this had consistently been considered the holy grail matte, full-coverage foundation of all time. So, for a cheaper option to finally come around has been long awaited. Lóreal is known for their luxurious quality at an affordable price, and they really brought it home with their Infallible Foundation. This has been deemed identical to the Mac Studio Fix Fluid’s intense coverage and longevity, with a few improvements. The Infallible Foundation does not contain SPF, which is perfect to avoid flash back in photographs, as well as containing a hydrating complex that makes this feel more lightweight on the skin while still giving you serious coverage!

NYX Professional Makeup Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer £12 vs Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer £55

With the steepest price difference on the list, it’s shocking that this is also the most accurate dupe. Hourglass is infamous for being very high quality as well as very expensive, almost as much as NYX is infamous for being extra affordable, which is partially why it’s so shocking that they would produce a product comparable to Hourglass. Both primers are identical in their ability to give the skin a matte while hydrated, flawless, and smoothing finish to the skin before foundation. Simply by applying them on the back of your hand you can see how identical the formula is. They both have a silky cream formula and they both work to minimize shine and smooth out your pores and imperfections. At a fraction of the price, it’s astounding how exact the comparison between the two is!

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer £5.99 vs NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer £22.50

Lastly but certainly not least is yet another very hyped up product. The NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer has been an obsession of many ever since it was revealed to be the concealer used by Kim Kardashian- who doesn’t want to have skin as flawless as her? This concealer is so blendable and creamy but gives you a high coverage flawless finish without being cakey. Let’s start with packaging, the two clearly have identical packaging however there is a difference in the doe-foot applicator; Maybelline Fit Me is a little bit smaller which is actually helpful to avoid packing on too much product and control where you want it. In terms of formula and longevity, the two are identical. The only difference would be that Maybelline’s Fit Me can be slightly less coverage, but it is easily buildable so you should be good to go!
