Mission and values

For our clients: to create all encompassing spas and wellness centres at sea that give our guests the ability to reconnect with their natural desire to be healthy, vibrant and self-aware. To teach each guest the connection between health and habit.

For our staff: to build safe, friendly and ethical work environments where they can have the freedom to be creative and to inspire each and every guest to achieve a greater sense of well-being. To ensure that staff who work diligently are rewarded accordingly for their efforts. To provide career opportunities and to support our staff’s growth.

For our business and our affiliates: through wellness-focused services, exceptional skincare, knowledgeable and caring staff, Steiner continues to grow fiscally, enabling us to provide more careers for spa professionals at sea.

Why work for us?

Theres's so many reasons, where do we start? Our cruise liners visit some of the most exotic countries and fascinating cities in the world. As well as doing things you've probably only ever dreamed of you'll meet people from all over the world, some of whom may become friends for life. The training that Steiner Training Limited offers is amongst the best in the industry and will be seen as a stamp of quality by future employers. And of course you could always stay with Steiner leisure and progress to managing one of our world class spas or even join our dynamic training department.

The ideal person would be someone who joins this industry with the right intentions, to service people to the highest standard. Someone who is motivated and is ready to work hard and ready to learn and grow. You need to be success driven and proud of your profession. A successful candidate will have shown us, during the interview process, excellent treatment standards, strong communication skills and will have a professional and polished appearance and must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Additional spoken languages would be a great advantage

Life at our company

What’s a spa at sea like? Gorgeous. Spas at sea are in prominent positions – normally at the very top of the ship. With the growth in the spa industry at large, the spas onboard are synonymous with resort spas on land – very spacious, with state of the art facilities. Our largest spas include Thermal Suites, Thalassotherapy Pools, Relaxation Areas, 20 treatment rooms that overlook the ocean, couple’s rooms, large fitness centres, barber shops, and hair and nail salons. Spa and team size are commensurate with the size of the ship. Our largest commercial ships at the moment carry 3,500 passengers and approximately 1,500 crewmembers and in 2009, Royal Caribbean is launching the largest ship to sail the seas. This mega ship will carry up to 10,000 passengers and crew combined. Spa team sizes vary from teams of five on our more exclusive ships to teams of 25 on our larger ships.
