“As a spa therapist I find working in the spa with my regular clients and with my lovely colleagues a pleasure. The role is rewarding with the satisfaction of going home at the end of the day with a smile.”
" In February 2014 I applied for a job within the Village spa as a part time/ casual therapist. After a month I started to work more hours and gaining more regular clients I was able to travel for ESPA Training Which is a 5 day course including Product Knowledge, Facials and massage.
After 6 months I Became senior therapist and learnt a lot more about how the business works and more responsibility within the day to day running of the spa. As well as being more involved with different activities and incentives in the spa.
I then progressed my career - in August 2015 I became Team leader at the village spa. Which I believe I had worked hard for putting a lot of time and effort in to the day to day running of the spa. Within this role I was able to help the manager and encourage staff with incentives for retail and treatments.
I then was given the opportunity to step up and cover maternity leave for the spa manager. This involved an interview with the general manager. I was given the Job and was able to put more input into the business with new ideas and helping to grow the opportunities with in the spa. Since having this role I have learnt a lot of different ways in managing a team of 8. And how to keep everyone focused and enthusiastic within the spa.
I believe working for Village hotels there is always room for progression and hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. In the time I have worked for Village hotels I feel I have put a lot into the business but I have gained even more from the company in regards to training knowledge and opportunities."
