AESTHETIC THERAPIST JOB POSITION
(MATERNITY COVER, 6 Months possible extension to permanent position)
Medical Director of NYDG
(or in his absence to Operational Manager Harrods Wellness Clinic)

The aesthetic therapist will be responsible for performing at high standards all branded NYDG aesthetic treatments (face and body) and under the supervision of NYDG medical director. This will be achieved by adopting the high standards in patient service and operational treatment protocol’s determined by the ethos and policies of NYDG and Harrods Wellness Clinic.
Assisting in the establishment and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and protocols for all operational areas of the clinic
Working with the medical director to ensure quality patient care and treatment outcomes
Maintaining the strictest confidentiality
Assisting the medical doctors with patients and treatments
Participating in research and training programs aiming to advance knowledge, skills and operational services
Ordering medications and consumables and performing stock control
Experience in facial and body aesthetic treatments and energy based devices
Knowledge of organization policies, procedures and systems
Knowledge of health administrative practices
Knowledge of computer systems and applications
Knowledge of government regulations and requirements
General knowledge of accounting practices and procedures
Skills in planning, organizing, delegating and supervising
Skill in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, patients, public and external agencies
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgement, decision-making and problem-solving expertise
Ability to research and prepare reports or other correspondence as required
Excellent knowledge of English language (well spoken and writing skills are necessary)
BLS, infection control training, health and safety training, good knowledge of resuscitation (anaphylaxis algorithm)
Excellent manners, and well spoken to cater the standards of high-end clients
You will also be required to help with administration work in the office if you are not busy with nursing duties

Maintains current knowledge of beauty therapy/applied science practices
Organisational skills- ability to time manage in order to accommodate patients promptly & to carry out all administrative tasks required

To determine patient individual needs and to make recommendations on appropriate treatments and NYDG and COLBERT MD products
To deliver exceptional customer care and develop a professional rapport with patients, ensuring that they are confident and satisfied with their treatments
To maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times in relation to patients
Ensure that all customers receive a professional and courteous first impression of NYDG and Harrods Wellness
Ensure all new patients receive a 3D imaging assessment as well as a consultation with the doctor
Presents a professional image at all times whilst at work being through personal presentation and conduct.
OPERATIONAL STANDARDS, POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
To report immediately to the Clinic Manager or in her absence the Medical Director, any patient complaint or incident and to keep detailed written notes of the incident.
To carry out high quality and professional laser and skin/body treatments in accordance with company protocol.
To ensure all NYDG procedures and data protection requirements are followed in relation to patient records prior to, during and after appointments, including completion of medical history.
To address patient enquiries politely and in accordance with NYDG standards, deal with all enquires including referring to other team members and adjusting bookings for treatments.
To maintain working areas and equipment in accordance with health, safety and operational standards at all times.
Ensure all necessary log entries for energy based devices are completed during and after each treatment and in accordance with Health Care Commission protocols
Operate all energy based devices within full compliance of NYDG safety procedures
To act as a representative of NYDG in a professional manner and in the best interests of the patient and NYDG/Wellness Clinic at all times
MARKETING AND SALES
Responsible for reaching monthly targets set for both services & products
To facilitate payments for patients following their treatments
To advice patients in skin care regimes implementing NYDG and Colbert MD products
Maximise during the consultation process referrals to the medical doctors
Assist the Operational Director with organising promotional events at Harrods Wellness Clinic
Able to work flexibly to suit the hours (various shift patterns) & needs of the clinic
Present a professional image, well groomed & confident
To be punctual and ready to start treatments on time
Excellent standard of spoken English, excellent telephone manner, ability to communicate effectively and interpret information accurately
Excellent standard of written English, accuracy in record keeping
Reliable, prompt & consistent in performance with a flexible approach & ability as part of a team
To be presentable at all times, hair tied back out of face, NYDG uniform to be kept clean and presentable, name badge to be worn at all times, no visible tattoos, no visible piercings with exception of the ears
Ensure a tidy and professional personal appearance at all times
Undertake any additional responsibilities as may reasonably be required by the NYDG Medical Director
£26k plus 5% commission on all sales
8 hours per day on a flexible schedule and rotational weekend cover for a total of five 8 hourly shifts per week
