Spa Therapist

Plas Talgarth Hotel Snowdonia National Park,  Pennal SY20 9JY

 

As a Macdonald Spa Therapist your role can be physically demanding or calmly hypnotic. Working with leading skincare products, amid superb surroundings, you’ll need to be at the top of your game; our guests expect the best! You’ll need to put clients at ease, so great communications skills are required for those who like to chat whilst being pampered. Exuding confidence, having high standards and taking a pride in your own appearance will help to show that Macdonald Spa visits are an indulgence totally worth it.

 

Macdonald Spa Therapists play a vital role in delivering a great guest experience to all our guests. They have a keen eye for detail, an organised approach and a willingness to exceed our guest expectation. Often operating on the front line, they are the real ambassadors of our company, and are committed to consistently delivering high standards

 

Our Spa Therapists are professional individuals who can work on their own initiative and are key players in our Spa and Leisure team. 

 

They have excellent customer service skills and are passionate about exceeding guests’ expectations. Our Spa therapists have a passion for the spa industry and play an important part in helping to deliver our core standards and provide our guests with a great stay every time.

 

This position will include shifts working Saturday and/ or Sunday. Additional hours may be required to support the hotel during our busier periods including bank holidays.

 

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

 

To carry out Spa and beauty services in a professional and friendly manner whilst delivering a high standard of customer service and working towards the aims and objectives of the Spa

• To act upon any reasonable instructions from management as pertains to my job responsibilities 

 

 

JOB SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

• To be familiar with all hotel facilities, events and activities 

• To take Spa/beauty treatment bookings following the correct procedures 

• To work on the club/spa reception, meeting and greeting guests as and when required 

• Undertake full assessment of clients’ requirements and suitability of treatments and products offered

• To carry out treatments to a high standard ensuring client confidentiality and high levels of customer care at all times

• Use the company home prescription form to prescribe retail products to all clients during and following spa treatments 

• To deal with customer comments and complaints in the correct manner and in line with the company procedure 

• Actively maintain a good knowledge of all Spa services and products, attending company Spa training sessions 

• To assist the Senior Therapist / Spa Manager and Club Manger with all promotions and offers, providing ideas and plans to help increase business levels

• To ensure all equipment is in safe working order, maintained and serviced to the required standard 

• To achieve all treatment and retail targets set by your Spa Manager 

• To suggest methods of promoting and up selling the Spa, to proactively drive column space with telephone calling to hotel residents and Spa client data base 

• Follow all Health and Safety procedure and instructions accordingly and ensure a safe Spa and Hotel

• To assist with salon and retail stock checks when requested to do so by the Spa Manager 

• To carry out any reasonable task as requested by Management
